RAAAAAAGGGGGEEEEEE!!!
Wait, wait. Hold it right there. Just stop.
I'm pretty sure most video gamers are likely to have a case of the Rage. As a gamer myself, I have experienced this MANY times. I used to rage like a freakin' dinosaur was let loose.
"I mean seriously, man! I ALMOST WON!!! THEN YOU COME AND KILL ME! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"
"!@#$%&*!!"
Yes. I raged like there was no tomorrow. But eventually I thought of something.
I make people rage too.
I love to play on games where I can interact with other players. And most of them have PvP (Player VS Player). But what I didn't notice was the fact that whenever I won a battle and felt so victorious, I was making someone else lose. And maybe even rage.
And I thought...
Why am I Raging?
I might have just made someone's day. I let them feel victorious. Something I LOVE to feel. So why am I so mad about this?
WAIT. Now hold up a second. I am NOT saying to stop trying to win PvP battles and purposely give the win to someone else.
NO WAY.
I'm just saying that... If you do lose... Why rage? What's the point, too? I mean, YOU LOST, BRO. There's nothing you can do about it!
And yes. Sometimes calling the other player a "hacker" or "!@#$%&*" might make you feel better... Don't. Please, just don't.
I really think that sometimes we forget that the people we are playing this game with are REAL PEOPLE. They're not just programmed people on the web. So when we call them something horrible, it actually does hurt their feelings. Because they HAVE feelings. (Unless their chat is off or they just didn't read your comment or whatever.)
AGAIN. No. I'm not saying to really change your gaming experience. I'm just saying... Why rage? Does it help? I mean...
Listen to Yourself.
